Course Description: The course
is designed for students with an intermediate command of
oral and written language. It covers approximately 45 hours
and it corresponds to courses over 300. The content of the
course consists of three modules:
(I) Reading and listening comprehension, specific aspects of
grammar and writing in modern Greek.
(II) Modern Greek literature, through a selection of
contemporary authors and texts (approx. 10 hours)
(III) Greek culture through a diachronic view (approx. 10
hours)
The classroom work will focus on vocabulary and points of
grammar.
Requirements: The students will have a midterm and
final examination and they will submit written language work
and essays on topics of interest.
Bibliography: The teaching material will be provided
by the instructors. The following books might also be
