The basic aim of the course is to
enable students to read Greek with precision, understanding
and pleasure.
CONTENTS:
Introduction (alphabet, accents, pronunciation, etc.)
Essentials of grammar; Declension of nouns and adjectives;
Pronouns; Verbs (conjugation, modes, etc.); Infinitives and
participles; Elements of syntax; Sentence structure; Uses of
the genitive, dative, etc.; Vocabulary and English
derivatives; Exercises; Reading and translating passages
from classical Greek authors.
