The courses offered by the University of Crete and Technical
University are taught in English in accordance with the standards of
US universities and are fully accepted by them.
Students must complete a
mandatory minimum of 45 hours per course over the period of the program.
Pre-approval of the courses by the student’s home university is
required.
Cultural Program:
Students can also take optional classes in
Cretan Folk Dances and Cretan folk musical instruments (Lyra, Laouto,
Mandolin, Violin). These classes are offered at no extra charge.
Scholarships:
The Pancretan Association offers
scholarships to students of Cretan Descent as well as members of a
Cretan Association. The Foundation of Modern Greek Studies
offers scholarship(s) to chosen DIAS applicants. Please inquire for more
information.
Program Cost:
$3,800:
Includes, tuition, room and board, two meals per day and weekend
Educational Excursions to historic sites plus optional excursions to
the island of SANTORINI. Air fare and travel to and
from Crete are not included.
