Students are given the opportunity to feel the timeless legacy of Greece and study the roots of the Western Civilization at its birthplace. It is a unique experience to study the classical history and philosophy of Greece at the very sites where they took place rather than in the confines of a classroom.
The courses offered by the University of Crete and Technical University are taught in English in accordance with the standards of US universities and are fully accepted by them. Students must complete a mandatory minimum of 45 hours per course over the period of the program. Pre-approval of the courses by the student’s home university is required.
Cultural Program: Students can also take optional classes in Cretan Folk Dances and Cretan folk musical instruments (Lyra, Laouto, Mandolin, Violin). These classes are offered at no extra charge.
Program Cost: $3,800: Includes, tuition, room and board, two meals per day and weekend Educational Excursions to historic sites. Air fare and travel to and from Crete are not included.
